Yancey 4-H Programs are excited to be in the schools again. The afterschool program has returned to Bald Creek again this year. This being our first year at Bee Log Elementary, the school personnal and parents have made our transition very easy. The Bee Log program has almost reached its maximum enrollement. The afterschool programs give the students a place to go afterschool, with time for homework, crafts, fun activities and family events during the year. Bald Creek has reached their maximum enrollment with a growing waiting list. Bee Log is getting close to their maximum enrollment and this is our first year! Discovery Clubs are scheduled to begin in September at each school with monthly meetings thereafter.  EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) is being scheduled and the teachers and students are always excited to see her in their classrooms.  Mtn. Challenge is getting his youth enrolled as he visits each school. School Enrichment classes are scheduled throughout the school year to cooridinate with the school curriculum. The 4-H Friends Program is a program for a youth who needs to be matched with an adult for one-on-one mentoring.
