2018 Beekeeping School

Rick Harty, NCSBA Master Beekeeper will be teaching a class on beekeeping beginning on 2/1/18 and ending 3/22/18 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. It will be held at Mayland Community College in Spruce Pine.

The class will cover the history and biology of honeybees, as well as the equipment used in beekeeping. The honeybees relationship to Agriculture, threats to the bee and her colony, and hive products and sales are just a few of the topics that will also be covered. If you are interested in raising bees for yourself or for profit this is a good class for you.
