May Meeting

A meeting of local beef producers will be held May 14^th at 6 p.m. at the Yancey Community Center, formerly the Yancey Senior Center. A meal will be provided at no charge although donations to the Yancey 4-H Beef Club will be accepted.

Beverly M. Hargus, DVM, with Animals R Us Veterinary Clinic will be presenting on common health issues in cattle. She will discuss what to look for as well as how to treat and prevent common health issues.

A draft of the by-laws for the new Yancey County Cattleman’s Association will also be brought before the group for discussion. This is a necessary step in order to move forward with the association.

This meeting will benefit anyone who has cattle. So please come out and join us for a good meal, fellowship, and education. RSVP by calling (828) 682-6186.
