Due to high volumes and a lack of diagnostic personnel to handle hemp samples, the NC State University Plant Disease and Insect Clinic will not be accepting hemp samples for disease diagnosis after October 14, 2019. The clinic will continue to accept hemp samples associated with insect and other arthropod pests.

Please also note that any hemp samples that have been submitted or are submitted between now and October 14, may require additional time to process, resulting in longer than usual turnaround times.

We are working to address the issue and apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to resume our regular services as soon as possible, pending the identification of personnel to diagnose diseases on this crop.

In the meantime, we appreciate your patience.
