4-H and FCS Fall Virtual Cooking Series

Do your kids love to cook or are interested in learning? If so, Yancey County Cooperative Extension is hosting a Virtual, Fall themed Cooking series for kids, ages 7-18.

The cooking workshops will take place on the following dates: October 13, 27 and November 10, 24 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. via Zoom. The menu for the workshop series is listed below.

This virtual Take N’ Make cooking series will teach kids about food safety and preparation, nutrition and kitchen skills. Participants will pick up their supply bag from the Yancey County Cooperative Extension office. Bag #1, for the October workshops will be available for pick-up starting Tuesday, October 6th. Bag #2, for the November workshops will be available to pick-up starting Tuesday, November 3rd. Participants will need to supply their own perishable ingredients, more details will be provided after registration.

Participants MUST be 4-H Members to participate. If you are not a 4-H member, contact Jordan English to join. The workshop series is free, but is limited to 25 participants!
