CANCELED: Private Pesticide Recertification Classes Sept. 2020

— Written By

Farmers, or their employees, who use restricted-use pesticides in the production of an agricultural commodity, on land that they own or lease, are certified as Private Pesticide Applicators upon passing the North Carolina Private Pesticide Applicator exam and submitting the appropriate application and fee. Once the fee is paid, you are not only certified, but also licensed.

If you are an active private applicator, you must attend 4 hours of recertification training during the three years of your license. You must attend a 2-hour class in sub-category V and a 2-hour class in sub-category X”. These credits must be obtained prior to your recertification date listed on your license. If you do not earn those particular credits, you will have to take an exam to regain your license.

The cut-off date to obtain all credits for the 2020 rotation is October 30. Please make every effort to attend one class in each subclass prior to this date.

In order to help you keep your license, the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Yancey County Center would like to inform you of the next private pesticide recertification class.
