Workshop for Vegetable Growers selling locally at food hubs & other various markets.
Join us for a Hands-on workshop concerning aspects of post-harvest handling for longer shelf life! Held at the Mayland Community College Sam Center
This workshop will include a post-harvest lecture, hands-on grading exercise, and a pack and cool demonstration.
The activities you take during harvest and postharvest handling of your vegetables can have a big impact on the shelf-life, quality, and safety of your produce. In this workshop, not only will you look at long shelf-life vegetables to grow, you will learn about harvest and postharvest activities that impact product quality and actions you can take to minimize food safety risks on the farm.
