Topic Covered will include Grants and Funding, Farmland Preservation and Succession Planning, and Farm Taxes 

Local farmers, growers, and aspiring food entrepreneurs are invited to attend the upcoming Agricultural Summit on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mayland Community College, located at 107 Wheeler Road in Burnsville. The event is free to attend, and lunch will be provided.

This summit will be hosted by the Mayland Small Business Center, and N.C. Cooperative Extension. The summit will provide practical resources and expert-led discussions on key agricultural topics, including:

  • Grants and Funding
  • Farmland Preservation and Succession Planning
  • Farm Taxes

Attendees will learn about financial tools, long-term land planning, and tax strategies that help sustain and grow farm operations across Western North Carolina. Farmers will be introduced to the practical tools they need to succeed.
