Have you ever wondered if those clever kitchen hacks really work, or are we simply following family lore? Many of us learn our cooking habits and knowledge from family traditions, but not all of it is backed by science.

From boiling water tips to baking techniques, we’re diving into the wisdom handed down through the generations to see what holds up – and what’s better left in the past. Join us as we uncover the science behind the habits that have shaped our kitchens.

Each week, we’ll post a question on Facebook asking you to decide whether a common kitchen belief is a fact or a myth. Cast your vote in the comments, and stay tuned for the answer and the science behind it later in the week.

Here’s the exciting part: The individual who answers the most questions correctly over the year and the person who shares our posts the most will each win a fantastic prize basket. This basket will come from one of our amazing local shops and will be filled with delicious foodie goodies valued at $75.

Join the discussion and share your favorite kitchen tips—together, let's uncover which ones are facts and which are just myths! We'll dive into common beliefs like "Does salt really make water boil faster?" and "Can you make a cake fall by slamming doors and stomping through the house?"
